Stricken star ... Cheryl this morning
CHERYL Cole has revealed the car crash that left her bloody and bruised came amid non-stop chatter from pal Will.i.am.
The singer talked about her manager’s chattiness as she joined Lisa Snowdon and Dave Berry on Capital Radio this morning.
Asked if he was the world’s worst driver, the 29-year-old replied: “He’s a bad talker. He was talking the face off us. He was talking about NASA and Mars.”
Shortly before the smash Will’s song Reach For The Stars was beamed to Earth from the Curiosity robot rover on the Red Planet as part of an educational programme.
Cheryl was left shaken and dazed when the Black Eyed Peas star’s £100,000 Cadillac crashed into another motor as they stopped off for a late night McDonald’s treat.
She has her arm in a sling but instead of taking doctors’ advice to rest, she is back at work less than 48 hours after the LA collision.
She jetted to the UK last night for work duties and getting ready to promote her new single Under The Sun.
But she did need a strong dose of coffee during her radio chat. Snowdon posted a snap of her drinking tons of the hot brew and Cheryl replied: “Someone’s a little jet-lagged.”
The Geordie lass told Snowdon and Berry that her arm was “absolutely fine” after the smash, adding “it’s actually hurting more to have it in a sling”.
Asked about Prince Harry's antics in Las Vegas, Cheryl said: "I just think he's a normal 27-year-old lad, and I love that his mum wanted him to have a normal life.
"It's just unfortunate that what happened in Vegas didn't stay there."
She later carried on her interviewing duties at Radio 1 and posted photos of herself reading emails and putting her feet up.
But she admitted she was feeling 'spaced out' after the crash and travelling back from LA.
Of her new tour she said: "I want people to be excited from start to finish. I don't want to give them time to breathe."
And on performing without Girls Aloud for her debut tour, she said: "It's a daunting thought, but I’m excited. I feel like I’ve forgotten everything when I get on stage, but it’s all OK when the music kicks in.”
On getting back together with the girls for their ten year reunion, she said: “It feels like yesterday. We feel really lucky we’re still here and there will definitely be a big celebration.
“We still socialise and go to each other’s houses weekly, but the public don’t see all five of us all together.
“Who do I see the most? Kimberley and Nicola. Sarah’s moved back to London now after living in the country and Nadine lives in LA but she’s back and forth, so we see more of her now.”
The former reality TV judge said she intended to watch the new series of The X Factor but wasn’t missing being on it.
She said: "I'll watch it on catch-up. I saw some of it last year but it felt like a different show.”
